Rising from the ashes of former projects, East Nashville Rockers Jarrad James and Dan Fenton set out to start a new project to fill a void for loud, fast Rock and Roll in Nashville. Calling on an old friend and bass fiddleman, Tyler Boone, the band quickly set the ground rule that the word “no” was not welcome in the creative space. Guitar slinger and purveyor of all things tone, Chase Arrocha, however, was very welcome.
After recording their first demo "Roll" at Starstruck Studios on Music Row in a midnight session, paying for the recording with a 40oz of malt liquor and a set of brass knuckles, the band put together an energetic, fast paced, melodic opener set, and quickly found themselves opening for local rock n roll powerhouses and friends Goodbye June, The Tip, The Cunning, and newcomers Denman.
Continuing on it’s mission to fuse melodic Nashville songwriting sensibilities with raw Rock and Roll power, Voltagehawk recently released their self-titled debut album on Poison Tree Records.
